Stay Connected. Help the University!
By Mr. Julien Marcelin
President of CALUNAH South Florida

For six weeks we launched an invitation to all the pastors in the South
Florida area who have a link with UNAH, using, regular mail, e-mail and
the  telephone. We also invited a few other non-pastor VIPs.

On May 11, at 11:30 our meeting started with about 55 people in a nice
and well located public venue of North Miami City. Dr Elie Honoré, our
Guest speaker from the Inter-American Division, presented a very
impressive and powerful address on the occasion. As a result,  all the
attendees were motivated. We took part in a nice reception put together
by supporters who firmly believe in this CALUNAH movement whose aim
is to support Adventist Education in Haiti, our beloved country.

When we presented our report on CALUNAH's activities and credentials,
the answers were overwhelming. A great number of alumni enlisted
through the recruitment process and live donations.  An amount of About
$2,200.00 was raised. Two different Author-alumni presented their works.
Pastor Michelin Verne, Un Brillant Résumé de l'Evangile and Joselle
Laguerre, "Songs of the Beloved".

At our meeting, Mrs Laguerre spontanously offered that a large
percentage of the revenue of the Books sold through CALUNAH wil be
donated toward financing the projects sponsored by CALUNAH. At this
announcement, almost all the participants gladly bought a book. We had
a good time. Some of the pastors who couldn't come sent their
contributions later during the week.

The Feedback  we received the same day and later shows that the
movement is being welcomed and supported.

The credit for this success should go to my supporting team members:
Pastor Asser, Dominique, Fritz, and Billy whom I sincerely thank for their
commitment and determination to see this Club become a worldwide
organization capable of impacting in a quite positive way Adventist
Education in Haiti.
A firm believer in the CALUNAH Movement, Dr. Lamartine
