On July 21, 2007, CALUNAH organized a CALUNAH Sabbath at
Sinai Seventh Day Adventist Church in Fort Lauderdale Florida. The
guest speaker was Dr. Lamartine Porcena. Dr. Porcena gave a very
eloquent sermon in which he convinced the members of the church
as well as the alumni present of the necessity to financially support
the Adventist University of Haiti, our alma mater.
In the Afternoon, a town meeting was held at the conclusion of which
CALUNAH organized an election. The members present elected
Julien Marcelin, president, Fritz Jean, treasurer, George Aristide,
assistant treasurer, Pastor Billy Leveille, vice president , Dominique
Bellefleur, secretary, and Pastor Asser Jean Pierre, Counselor.
CALUNAH Congratulates the new officers of the South Florida
chapter of the alumni association and promises them all its support
as they embark on the difficult road of making CALUNAH a vibrant
organization capable of assisting the Adventist University of Haiti in
its development projects.
CALUNAH thanks the President of the University for his presence,
and is grateful to Pastor Bienvenu Theodore, the church committee
members all the members of the church for their generosity and
support to the University and to CALUNAH.
