‘79 - Jean-Claude Blaise graduated from Brooklyn College with a BS in French and Spanish. For ten years, he worked with the New York City Board of Education as a Spanish teacher. Later on, he received a master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling. For 22 years, he worked as a Guidance Counselor for the same school system. 

 

Jean-Claude is married to Samartha and together they have four children. He retired in 2017 and moved to Orlando, Florida, where he serves as an elder at Guilgal SDA Church.

‘81 - After graduating from the Adventist Franco-Haitian Institute in 1981, Becel Dubreuze, Jr. had an interesting and long journey navigating through life.

 

Starting in Quebec, Canada, he spent 2 1/2 years working as a  dedicated Literature Evangelist,(Colporteur). Then, he moved to the United States at the end of 1983 and started college in South Florida.

 

Becel received an Associate in Drafting and Design in Industrial Technology, then later on earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering, which facilitated him a     successful career in one of the largest automotive  manufacturing companies. Shortly after the start of his career, he obtained an MBA in Technology Management. In 2019, after more than 25 years in his field, Becel retired and decided to use his energy and skills as an entrepreneur.

Becel is also a church ordained elder for nearly 30 years. He lives in Michigan with his wife Katia, the love of his life, for over 3 decades. They have 3 adult children: Yasmine, Tatiana, and Becel III.

‘86 - After graduating from the Franco-Haitian Institute in 1986, Ernst Etienne went to study in Honduras. He later moved to the United States for further studies. He is an industrial engineer and a licensed FAA commercial pilot.

 

Ernst invented a flying saucer    using the Coanda Effect Principle and three other devices that are registered with the US Patent Office. He also wrote a book entitled “The Call to Win the Third War of Independence of Haiti” and several other books which can be found on Amazon. He just released a movie-on-demand titled “Borders”.

 

Ernst is married to Yolette Delpe. They have four  children, three boys and one girl.

‘91 -  Ivaline Obas Charles resides in Baltimore, MD with her husband Will, of 22 years, and their three children. She graduated with a BSN degree in Nursing in 1997 from Andrews University. She is currently working on a master’s degree in Nursing Informatics at Chamberlain University. She has worked for Johns Hopkins Hospital for the past 20 years. Her most recent position at the same hospital is that of a nurse supervisor.

 

Ivaline is an active member of Liberty SDA church and the president of the CALUNAH’s DMV Chapter.
